They Made an Immediate Impact on the Nascent R&b/Blues Circuit, Notably at Richmond痴 Famed Crawdaddy Club, Where Eric Picked Up his \"Slowhand\" Nickname. When Veteran Blues Legend Sonny Boy Williamson Came to the UK in December 1963 the Yardbirds were Asked Both to Back and Open for Him, and their Crawdaddy Appearances were Taped. Despite Being Recorded in Truly Primitive Conditions These Sides Serve to Show How Powerful Both Eric and the Yardbirds Already Were, Despite their Youth. After Cutting a Number of Fine Studio Demos They Recorded Another Live Set - this Time Professionally, at the Marquee - which Would Appear as the Five Live Yardbirds LP.
